How to Measure

Use a soft measuring tape. Keep it gently snug against your body and parallel to the floor.
No measuring tape? Use a ribbon or piece of string, then measure it against a ruler.

Bust – Measure around the fullest part of your bust.
Waist – Measure around the narrowest part of your waist.
Hips – Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Dress Length – From the highest point of the shoulder down to the preferred hemline.

Pant Length (Outseam) – From the waist down to the hem of the pant leg.
Pant Inseam – From the crotch seam down to the bottom of the pant leg.
Front Rise – From the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband in the front.

Helpful Tip

You may also measure a well-fitting garment you already own. Lay it flat, measure straight across, and double the measurement where a full circumference is required.

Free Minor Adjustments

Each Kuttons garment is made to order in your selected standard size. We can usually accommodate the following small adjustments at no additional cost, depending on the garment design:

Garment length adjustment of up to 6 inches
Sleeve length adjustment of up to 6 inches, where applicable
Add or remove pockets, where the design allows
Add a waist tie, where the design allows

If an adjustment affects the pattern, fit, construction, or overall design, we will contact you before beginning production.

Need a More Personalized Fit?

Our regular made-to-order service includes your selected standard size and eligible minor adjustments. It does not include full made-to-measure tailoring or major pattern changes.

We do not normally alter the bust, waist, hips, shoulders, armholes, neckline, bodice shape, skirt shape, zipper placement, or overall silhouette unless the request has been approved separately.

Some custom-fit requests may be possible for an additional fee, depending on the garment design and complexity.

Custom-fit services start at $29.
Major pattern or design changes are quoted separately.

Clean, confident and distinctly feminine, this fitted European linen midi dress brings tailored definition to linen’s naturally breathable character. The softly squared neckline frames the collarbone, while the shaped sleeveless bodice follows the figure before meeting a defined waist.

A fabric tie fastens at the back to refine the silhouette, and the long column skirt is finished with a side slit for easier movement and a subtle reveal of the leg. Fabric & Feel

European linen gives this dress the breathability and natural texture associated with linen while holding the clean lines of its fitted silhouette. The fabric has enough visible body to define the bodice and long column skirt without giving the dress a stiff appearance.

Fine slubs, subtle variations in the weave and natural creasing are characteristics of linen, not defects. These details give every garment a softly individual appearance. Because the design is fitted and linen has little natural stretch, choosing the correct size—particularly at the bust, waist and hips—is important.

Size & Fit

This dress is designed to fit close to the body through the bust, waist and hips before falling into a straight column skirt. Please compare your body measurements—not the measurements of another dress—with our Size Guide before ordering.

If your bust, waist and hip measurements correspond to different sizes, select the size that accommodates your largest measurement. If you fall between sizes, the larger size will generally provide more comfortable ease.

The back tie provides gentle waist adjustment but does not replace choosing the correct size. The dress has a long-midi length and may fall closer to the ankle on shorter women.

Complimentary length adjustments of up to 6 inches may be requested before production. Altered garments and Custom Fit orders are final sale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this dress fitted or relaxed?
It is a fitted design that follows the bust, waist and hips. Check all three body measurements against the Size Guide before selecting your size.

Does the back tie make the waist adjustable?
The tie allows you to refine the waist slightly. It does not significantly change the bust or hip fit and should not be used to compensate for choosing a size that is too large or small.

Will the linen wrinkle?
Yes. Natural linen develops creases during sitting and movement. This is an expected characteristic of the fabric rather than a fault.

How high is the side slit?
The slit extends to a little above the knee on the model and is intended to make walking more comfortable. Its position on your leg will vary according to your height and the selected dress length.

Can the length be adjusted?
Yes. A complimentary length adjustment of up to 6 inches may be requested before production. Because the garment will then be altered specifically for you, it will be final sale.

Is Made to Oder the same as Custom Fit?
No. Standard made-to-order garments are produced in the standard size you select. Custom Fit garments are produced using individual measurements through our separate Custom Fit service and are final sale.

How long will my order take to arrive?
The dress normally dispatches within 4–7 business days. Delivery typically takes 7–15 business days after dispatch depending upon your location. Production and shipping time are separate.
