Our Story

It's hard to believe that just a few years ago, Kuttons was nothing more than an idea shared between two people who loved nature and handmade goods. We were raised in the hills of the Himalayas, where we watched simple, hardworking villagers produce beautiful blankets and clothes on their handlooms. Our shared passion for handmade and love for nature motivated us to start our own business, and Kuttons was born in May of 2022 in Toronto, Canada.

From the beginning, our goal has been to create sustainable products that are good for both people and the environment. We use only natural materials like cotton, linen, silk and wool sourced from local farmers and manufacturers. And all our products are made by hand by our artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

We're proud to say that in this short span, Kuttons has already started getting great interest, love and business thanks to our customers. But even more importantly, we've been able to create jobs for skilled artisans who might not otherwise have access to work. Every day, we see the positive impact our company is having on people's lives, and we know that we're making a difference in the world one stitch at a time. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Artisans Welfare Fund

Businesses don't operate in a vacuum. They rely on humans - skilled and unskilled hard work and effort. It is therefore our conviction and social responsibility to pay back society, especially workers and artisans who work tirelessly to bring beautiful products to our loving customers.

1% of each item sold on our website goes for the welfare of our artisans. Thank you to each customer buying from us and offering a hand to small weavers and skilled artisans. When you buy from us, you automatically contribute to artisans' welfare!

Our Products

Handmade, natural and sustainable!

Our products are handmade on traditional looms in India and around the world by skilled artisans and master weavers who have been involved in hand weaving for generations. We bring authentic, high-quality handcrafted products using natural materials and fibres.

Before reaching our customers, the products go through days, weeks, and sometimes even months of painstaking manual labour and love (hand spinning, hand weaving, hand embroidery, hand painting, and much more).

We stand behind each product for its originality, authenticity and quality.

our product collection

Each item is unique and one of a kind.

Handmade, hand-woven products have distinct characteristics. Each item is slightly different as they are made by hand using traditional hand looms. These slight variations and inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing add to the product's character, making each item unique and not a replica of thousands of other products coming out of machines.

The love, emotions and hard work poured into each item by the artisans make it unique and invaluable. Also, handcrafted products made from natural fabrics are often more durable and better for your health.

Thank you for supporting our artisans and buying from a small business!
