From Toronto to the Himalayas

The Story Behind Kuttons

Kuttons didn’t begin as a brand.
It began as a search.

A search for clothing that felt natural on the skin…
free from synthetics, shortcuts, and mass production…
and made to be worn for years, not just a season.

We couldn’t find it.
So we decided to build it.

We started in Toronto, working with small artisans across India — bringing handcrafted pieces to people who valued authenticity and natural materials.

But over time, we saw the gaps.

Inconsistent quality.
Limited control.
And a growing distance between what we envisioned… and what we could deliver.

To create something truly meaningful, we had to go deeper.

So we made a decision most wouldn’t.

We left the comfort of Canada…
and moved to India to build from the ground up.

Today, Kuttons is shaped in our studio in Dehradun, in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Here, every piece is created slowly —
from sourcing fine European linen and natural fabrics,
to cutting, stitching, and finishing each garment with care.

No mass production.
No excess inventory.
No compromises.

Just thoughtful clothing, made one piece at a time.

This is not fast fashion.

It’s a return to something simpler.
More intentional.
More human.

Kuttons is still a small, family-led journey.

But every piece carries the same belief we started with:

What you wear should feel as good as it looks —
natural, effortless, and made to last.
